Our compassionate team provides in-depth assessments that lead to answers, support, and the right next steps.
Our goal is simple: clarity, direction, and meaningful support.
What is a Psychological Assessment?
A psychological assessment is a structured process that helps identify how someone thinks, learns, and experiences the world. It can provide clarity around concerns such as attention, learning, emotional regulation, and mental health.
Whether you’re seeking answers for yourself or your child, an assessment can be the first step toward meaningful change.
Benefits of Psychological Assessments:
- Clarity and Understanding – Get to the root of what’s going on, whether it’s emotional, behavioural, learning-related, or something else
- Personalized Support Plans – Assessments help guide therapy, school supports, or workplace accommodations that truly fit your or your child’s needs.
- Early Identification – For children and teens, early insight into ADHD, anxiety, or learning differences can make a big impact on development and self-esteem.
- Validation and Relief – Many clients feel a sense of relief just having a name for what they’ve been experiencing—and knowing they’re not alone.
- Improved Communication – Assessments can help families, schools, and care teams better understand and support the individual.
- Advocacy and Access to Services – Gain access to educational supports, funding, or medical resources that often require a formal assessment.
- Informed Decision-Making – Whether it’s choosing a therapy approach, parenting strategies, or school programming, you’ll be making choices based on clear information.
- Empowerment – Knowing what you’re working with allows you to move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind.
Types of Assessments we Offer
- ADHD Assessments for Adults, Teens & Children -Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental condition that impacts focus, impulse control, and activity regulation. It manifests differently for everyone, from children struggling with sitting still or completing schoolwork to adults facing challenges with task organization and managing responsibilities. Everyday skills like staying organized and regulating emotions can be more difficult for individuals with ADHD, affecting daily life and functioning.
- Psychoeducational Assessments for Adults, Teens & Children -A developmental and psychoeducational assessment is a thorough evaluation of cognitive, academic, and social-emotional functioning, highlighting strengths and areas needing support. It examines skills like reasoning, memory, executive functioning, and attention to uncover learning difficulties and tailor strategies for success in school and beyond. Learning Disabilities, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, or dyscalculia, affect specific areas of processing but often coexist with exceptional strengths like creative problem-solving or strong verbal skills, helping individuals thrive when given the right tools.
- Mental Health Assessments (behavioural, emotional and diagnostical) for Adults, Teens & Children -This type of assessment evaluates social-emotional functioning, examining symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress-related disorders. A mental health assessment identifies emotional, psychological, and behavioral patterns affecting daily life, helping uncover the root causes of challenges like mood swings or overwhelming anxiety. Rather than focusing on labels, the goal is to understand the full picture and develop a personalized plan that respects your unique experiences and needs.
