Jessica van Mill

MC, BA

Registered Provisional Psychologist

I specialize in providing assessments and therapy for individuals and couples navigating significant life changes, such as career changes, relationship shifts, and personal growth.

My approach is rooted in empowering clients to build self-esteem, enhance communication skills, and cultivate emotional resilience with empathy, understanding, and effective tools. I have a particular focus on women’s health, especially in midlife, addressing issues related to pelvic floor health, sexual wellness, and emotional well-being.

While life transitions are an inevitable part of our journey, they often come with challenges that can feel overwhelming. Whether you’re facing changes in your relationships, evolving roles as a parent, or simply adjusting to the natural shifts that come with life, it’s normal to feel like the foundation you’ve built is shifting beneath you. You might feel disconnected from your partner, uncertain of your identity in this new phase, or unsure of the next steps in your career or personal life. Therapy offers a safe space to explore these emotions and find a renewed sense of meaning and direction.

My goal is to help you understand yourself more deeply, work through complex emotions, and emerge with greater clarity, strength, and confidence as you step into the next chapter of your life. I offer a confidential, supportive environment where each client is treated with persistence, honesty, and a personalized approach.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that incorporates mindfulness and acceptance strategies, Psychodynamic Therapy to explore unconscious patterns, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) for a practical, solution-oriented approach, and Gottman Method & Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, focusing on improving communication, emotional intimacy, and conflict resolution.

Assessment services are available for adults, teens and children. Assessments include: ADHD, Psychoeducational & Mental Health Assessments.

If you are ready to take the next step toward healing and personal growth, I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, couples counselling or an assessment I’m here to support and guide you toward a more fulfilling, connected life.

When I’m not in “therapy-land,” you’ll most likely find me on the farm, gathered around a fire with family and friends, or soaking up the peace and quiet of the outdoors. I’m a lifelong learner—always diving into something new through online courses, books, or professional seminars. I love bush camping, quadding, and hunting, all of which give me a chance to recharge and reconnect with nature. There’s something incredibly grounding about spending time with animals and being outside—it brings a deep sense of calm and clarity.

When I’m indoors, I unwind with diamond art—a creative, meditative hobby that lets me slow down and express myself in a different way.

One of the things that truly shapes who I am as a psychologist is the wide range of real-world experiences I bring to the work. I’ve worn many hats over the years—business development, direct sales, hobby farming—all while being a stay-at-home mom and a full-time student. These chapters of my life have given me a deep appreciation for the many challenges people face, and they’ve strengthened my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.
